I am an In-network provider with TRICARE. TRICARE will cover up to 5, 60 minute in home visits. I will file all claims for my services directly with TRICARE with no out of pocket cost to you!
Here is some more information on a few other insurance companies and how you can get lactation support costs covered:
- Cigna- They do not have lactation services under their plan. However, if you have an FSA/HSA account you can use that to cover the cost of services.
- United- Coverage depends on whether or not the plan you have covers lactation consults. You can call United before booking an appointment and ask. This would mean you pay out of pocket and then get reimbursed by United if your plan allows.
- Blue Cross- You can call Blue Cross and receive a referral for lactation services. Once this is submitted and approved, you can book an appointment and receive reimbursement from the insurance company.
For all other insurance companies I am an out-of-network provider. All costs for services will need to be paid upon booking an appointment.
I will provide you with a Super Bill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement!
According to the Affordable Care Act breastfeeding and lactation support should be covered by insurance companies.
To know if your insurance will cover either full or partial reimbursement for a lactation consult, you can call their customer service line before our appointment.
