Not only is breastfeeding a great way to bond with your baby, but there are MANY more benefits not only you but your baby as well!
Breastfeeding can help your baby by reducing the risk for obesity and type 1 and type 2 diabetes. Baby’s who are breast fed are less likely to to suffer from asthma, gastrointestinal illnesses, respiratory infections, and ear infections. Breastfeeding can also reduce the risk of SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome) and decrease the risk of childhood cancers. Breast milk is full of all the vitamins and minerals infants need. It also provides your infant with immune system protection and probiotics.
Breastfeeding your infant can also help reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, ovarian cancer and breast cancer in the mother. Mothers who produce breast milk for their baby’s have a decreased risk of osteoporosis. It also helps in recovery after delivery.
Not to mention it’s FREE! 🙂
